Facade.It is when people put on a false image in front of others.It is when we change behaviours(skins) in different scenarios.Do we behave differently when we are at home,school,church?Do we try to justify ourselves by saying that it is because of different context that we show different sides of us?Are we the same at home as well as school?More sociable in sch and anti-social at home? One has to possess the same characteristics at home as well as outside home before we can say that he is of certain type of characteristics.A character trait has to be constant at all times regardless of the settings.Yah?I believe that many behave differently at home and outside home.
And you must be wondering why do people put them on right?There are afew answers to that.Firstly,we dont want others to discover us.Who would want to be naked before another person?We dont want them to know our weaknesses but our strengths(or false strengths)We want to cover ourselves with alot of good things.Many seem to be an extrovert outside but deep down they maybe huting.Who knows?
Secondly,they feel inferior of others-the fear of man.Perhaps they are from a poor background and dont want others to look down on them.I know many singaporeans who judge others based on status of whatever kind.Look at the nation's system!It is of a terrible feeling to be looked down upon, and who would like that?
Thirdly, it may be because they dont know about their own facade that they are putting on.Man are just so blinded by their own flaws. For example, we can say that others are selfish and rude.But even before we say them, do we check on ourselves that we have that kind of traits too?The answer is most often a "no".We are so quick to pinpoint others' faults that we are so blinded abt ours!These are some of my reasons that i have experienced myself and with others.
Before we can even say,"That's surely not me,im a real person!",Let's reflect on our life in different context.
3And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! Wednesday, 11/16/2005 11:44:00 PM, Happy Bdae Eunice!!!
Really blessed and glad that God has placed u in my life.How much we have been together,thru thick and thin,never being able to hide things from each other,other than yst when i discussed with ur mum abt ur bdae =) we literary kept u in the dark.When we told u that we were talking abt whether there was the core mtg was true. =)But that was the very brief part of our conversation.So are u happy?The core celebrated ur bdae,and ur mum made terriyaki and honey chicken wings.SUPRISED?!U tot that they were they forgot abt ur bdae rite? =)
But i bought the present for u yst alr.If not i could have given u today if not for the last minute decision of the core mtg.First,Liu yan told us that there will be core mtg tml.And then soon later told us that it will be cancelled bcos of camp comm mtg.So i tot since we wont meet tml might as well buy her her present today?!But it was later confirmed to be resumed later at nite.It was after i had given her the present.Btw,How is ur reading process of the book?I felt that it was the appropriate book for u.It was one of the few books that i chose from.Like it?Of course,what more can u say when i have bought u a present?! HAHA...LOL

I gave Dai zhen bs in the morning at 845am.Jia yu and zhiyu told her that they could go yst but they didnt.They couldnt come out as their grandma is at home.I taught her on faith, how simple actions can increase faith...
Then i rushed down to eunice hse to make sandwiches for the zone and Pri6 lunch.We bought 4loaves of bread for 80ppl.I went to her hse at 10am as we tot that we could finish making by 1130am.but it turned out that we only finished making them at 1205pm!Then Jason Lee,Wenli,Brenda,Pauline and jasmine came to fetch us.Lee was driving the van!eunice mum came down with us as eunice and i had not enuf hands to bring the sandwiches down.Quess what did jasmine say upon the arrival of her mum?She blurted out,"Aunty,u are so beautiful,not like eunice!"Just straight to her face!Should her mum be happy or sad?Haha=) Will have to teach her to control her tongue soon.It's a small part of the body but it's the most dangerous one.See how great a forest a little fire kindles!Every creature can be tamed,but no man can tame the tongue.U can never take back a word u have said.It can either bless or hurt.Thus, we have to be very mindful of what we speak.Wwhatever is not pleasing,dont speak.
The bball match at bedok cc was organised by our church.Some schs were involved,and there were quite afew teams from an individual sch.I was sitting down watch ing them and i discovered some habits,traits of them.There were afew 14yr old china boys who were pri 6 in eunos pri.They were bigger in size than the rest.There are advantages of being tall and short when playing bball.In general,shorter ppl are good at 3-pointers and taller ones at slam dunk.Tell me if im wrong.=)I also realised that foreigners are more competitive than singaporeans in the good sense.From the various foreigners that i have observed, i noticed that they are hungry for knowledge.Take for example china students,they will grab hold of every oppotunity they have to do well. what i could learn from a china student from my class was that he felt that sleeping was a waste of time!Though this may not be true,he wants to spend his time wisely in singapore. There are some guys in the company that im working at who didnt have much education.But they werent beaten by that reason!They strive to do well in all things.My supervisor who was a malaysian and didnt have much education,learnt english and developed human skills while working.Now,he could handle customers of almost all kinds,proud,unreasonable,rude,u name them.He's still picking up english. He increases his general knowledge by reading up and coming up with jokes so that we can communicate with the staff.Those bball guys were given this chance to play in a tournament and they played well.This can be the area that they can excel in and they may be developing it though they couldnt play in normal pri sch tournaments as they are too old.
Btw,we finished the whole tournaments at 245pm.Eunice and i went home while the rest went for lunch at bedok.

It has been 5 days since sch reopened.I got leadership and character for my CDS!I will take the DISC test sometime in this semester again.Im at S and C person =) but i have misplaced my notes of my description!I like business statistics cos it deals with maths...horrray!I find that they are not as boring as the subjects i took last semester.However,i didnt understand what the lecturer was talking today.Whatever he said flew past my head though i tried to understand what he's trying to say.He just left us stranded on the island without explaining to us the necessary stuff.And worse still,he used his saliva to erase the mistake he had made on the transparency in front of us!So gross rite.Then later, he asked a student to answer a question on a transparency with his marker of course.Imagine how the germs spreaded?!OH NO!
Also, this week is the week of relaxation cos we only attend sch for lec...so there were some days when i just went to sch for 2 hrs!Haha..but it's going to be over soon as it's already friday.I will have a long day every mon-from 9am-5pm...my longest day!But the rest of the days i just alright.
The company im working part-time for didnt get back to me...haix.Slow system,something needs to be done man!How can the workers plan their schedule like that?It's very troublesome to tell us last minute that we have to work last minute!Nvm...patience.I will try to get my pay for last month asap...the rest of it nvm since i have not worked for this month...I will do my best and God will do the rest!What a wonderful God i serve!I really learn from the working world,humility, wisdom and stuff like that...
